The Colleges at La Rue and Primero Grove
Transfer students who are 24 years and older will be referred to privately managed apartment complexes on university land: The Colleges at La Rue and Primero Grove.
Just a short walk from our central campus are The Colleges at La Rue and Primero Grove. The Colleges offers one- to four-bedroom apartments. Primero Grove consists of studios and one- to four-bedroom apartments. Both communities offer convenience, security and comfort, while providing a study-friendly environment and a social network for continuing undergraduate students. Students without dependents are invited to apply to The Colleges at La Rue Living and Learning Community, which focuses on leadership and professional development and has a growing transfer community.
Family Housing
Where can you find a supportive, study-focused place to live that’s also a great place to raise your family? UC Davis offers three student family housing complexes on campus to meet the unique needs of our students with children.
The Parks at UC Davis
Orchard Park and Solano Park, jointly referred to as The Parks at UC Davis, are our two university-owned on-campus apartment complexes designed primarily for married students, domestic partners, and students with children. With their park-like settings and strong, family-oriented communities, these complexes provide a safe, well-maintained and livable environment at competitive rates. A campus child care center is located near each of the parks, serving infants through kindergarten-age children.
Each park is composed of moderately sized two- and three-story buildings surrounded by large grassy spaces, park benches and small play areas. Each unit features either a balcony or patio, air conditioning unit, gas heating, refrigerator, stove and oven. Both complexes include parking for one car and water/sewer/garbage utilities in the monthly rent. Electricity, gas and phone are the responsibility of the tenant.
Orchard Park includes 200 unfurnished two-bedroom apartments with gas stove/oven units. Current rent is $710 per month. Solano Park offers both one- and two-bedroom unfurnished apartments. All stove/oven units in Solano Park are electric. Current rent is $595 per month for a one-bedroom and $678 per month for a two-bedroom unit.
Because student family housing is so popular, we encourage you to apply for an apartment as soon as you decide to enroll at UC Davis. You may apply even before you receive notification of your admission. A $20 fee is due when you submit your application.
Russell Park
Designed for students with children, the Russell Park apartments offer a choice of one-, two- or three-bedroom units at competitive rates. Safe playground areas, planned family activities, and a central study room accommodate your needs as a student and a parent. Each unit features semiprivate entry courts and private patio units are available. Like The Colleges at La Rue and Primero Grove, Russell Park is a privately managed complex on university land.
