Don't Forget to Apply for Scholarships
When you apply for admission, you are also applying for scholarships. Be sure to read all instructions pertaining to scholarships when completing the application, paying particular attention to the restricted scholarship eligibility codes.
Freshmen applicants:
A 3.25 GPA is required, but no additional documentation should be submitted.
Transfer applicants:
For UC Davis campus-based scholarships, a letter of recommendation is suggested, not required, and a 3.25 college GPA is needed. Transfer applicants who wish to be considered for the Regents Scholarship must have a minimum 3.80 college GPA and are required to submit a letter of recommendation by December 2, 2008. All transfer students who submit a letter of recommendation by the deadline will have their application packets holistically read by the campus scholarship committee, which may result in a more favorable review. Please review the "Prospective Students, Transfer Applicants" section of the Financial Aid Web site for more information. The letter of recommendation request form for transfer applicants will be available until December.
All applicants:
We encourage you to consider applying for a UC Davis Cal Aggie Alumni Association (CAAA) Leadership Scholarship, which requires a separate scholarship application and a short essay, due February 1. Visit the Cal Aggie Alumni Association for eligibility criteria and application instructions. For more information about applying for scholarships, visit our scholarships page.
If you wish to be considered for need-based scholarships, you must apply for financial aid. For more information, please visit our financial aid page.
After You Apply
After you submit your application online, you should receive an e-mail from UC Davis Undergraduate Admissions confirming that your application has been successfully filed. This may take a few weeks, so please be patient. We will send this message and all future e-mail communications regarding your admission status to the e-mail address that you listed on your application. Please add us to your e-mail address book today so our messages don't get caught in your junk filter, and check your e-mail regularly.
You should also receive an e-mail confirmation from the UC Undergraduate Admissions Processing Service (usually within four-to-five weeks of submitting your application).
Be sure to review our "After You've Applied" pages for freshman and transfer applicants to UC Davis. You can check your UC Davis admission status and accept your admission offer at MyAdmissions.
